Basil Poledouris’ glorious final wind-up on the Hollywood pitcher’s mound is thrown at Varèse Sarabande with their Deluxe Edition release of FOR LOVE OF THE GAME. It’s a majestic ode to the past time and the swan song for Kevin Costner’s pitcher, as strikingly delivered by Poledouris for this nostalgically atypical Sam Raimi film.
